Synergy

Another aspect of music, especially jazz, that attracts me is its collaborative nature. Musicians constantly listen and watch each other as they perform. They build on each other's contributions, leading to an overall performance that is greater than the simple sum of the individual parts.

In this collection of photographs I capture some of this interaction between musicians on stage. Because these are only photographs, I can only show the visual component of the on-stage chemistry between the performers.
