This established pub in the Eglinton and Allen area is now the latest in spot in Toronto for jazz. Unlike other recent attempts to establish new jazz clubs in Toronto, Chalkers is not pretentious and feels very comfortable. The owner is putting the emphasis on the music and no interior designers were involved. (My beef with designers is that though the room looks nice, the acoustics are crap, there is too much visual clutter on stage, and there is no light on the performers.)
